Exhibit 5-UCET 2018 Conference Poster

How I made this in Photoshop:
I took the background image and selected the rock and the man. I then did the inverse of that selection to select everything else nad used the hue/saturation layer to turn everything else black and white. I then added the logo to the bottom and made it big. In order to make it visible, I added a black to transparent gradient. I also added more text.
Design Thoughts:
I made everything else unsaturated because I wanted to focus on he message, that we can do amazing things. I made the logo big so that it would be obvious what the conference is for.
  • Contrast: Pinkish color, yellow, and white on dark background.
  • Repetition: Pinkish color. #YOUcet for text.
  • Proximity: The date and place are close to each other and to the invitation. The logo is near the website. The text is all in proximity with each other.
  • Alignment: The logo and the website are aligned with each other. UCET, Utah, the text, and the website are all aligned on the right side. The date and University of Utah are also aligned.
