After applying Camera Raw and Photoshop
How I edited this:
First I used Camera Raw's Straighten Tool. After that, I sharpened the image using the following settings:
After that, I used the crop tool to zoom in on her face and the event. I used the quick selection tool to select the diploma and then inversed it to select everything else. I then used a Hue/Saturation layer to turn everything else black and white.
Design Thoughts:
I thought it would be nice to really focus on the event. That is why I chose to turn everything black and white except for her diploma. I also cropped the image to follow the rule of thirds and to focus on her face.
